Proper attic insulation and ventilation are crucial for determining how long your new roofing system will last. Together, they keep your home warm in the winter, cool in the summer, and maintain acceptable moisture levels. American Eagle Home Improvement is trained and certified by Owens Corning to diagnose and install all necessary insulation and ventilation products, ensuring your home stays healthy and your heating and cooling costs remain in check.

Attic Intake Ventilation

Attic ventilation begins with air being pulled into the attic space at the lowest possible point. If these intake points are plugged or inadequate, there isn’t enough airflow to push the warm, moist air out of the attic. To ensure your home has enough intake, we need to perform special calculations.

Attic Exhaust Ventilation

Once we ensure enough intake, the warm, moist air must be exhausted from the uppermost point of the attic. Many types of exhaust vents are available, and our Home Pros will diagnose and determine the best type of vent for your home. Intake and exhaust ventilation form a balanced system to circulate air throughout your attic all day.

Attic Insulation

Attic insulation is crucial for keeping your roofing system functioning properly. An under-insulated attic leads to higher heating costs in the winter and major ice dam problems. Proper insulation involves more than just adding more material; it includes components like can covers, vent chutes, bath fans, and kitchen vents, all of which need to be correctly installed for an effective system. Proper attic insulation saves you money every month and make your home more comfortable during the cold Upper Midwest winters.
